Located in Mizunami City, Gifu Prefecture, Iwashima Dental Clinic is a community-oriented dental practice approximately a 15-minute walk from Mizunami Station. Director Hiroaki Iwashima graduated from Matsumoto Dental University and subsequently gained experience in the oral surgery department of a university hospital, where he was involved in tumor surgeries, wisdom tooth extractions, and the treatment of patients with underlying medical conditions. He brings this specialized expertise to the clinic's daily practice. In addition to general dentistry and pediatric dentistry, the clinic has an in-house operating room equipped to handle oral surgery and implant procedures, and is prepared to flexibly accommodate cases that other clinics may have deemed untreatable. Meticulous care for patients with pre-existing conditions and thorough infection control measures—including sterilization equipment such as autoclaves—are also key features of the clinic. The practice additionally offers home-visit dental care for patients who have difficulty coming to the clinic and for residents of elderly care facilities, conducting approximately five to six visits per month to serve the needs of a broad range of age groups. Inherited from the previous generation, the clinic has been renovated with a café-like atmosphere, and considerable effort has gone into creating a welcoming environment where everyone from children to the elderly feels comfortable visiting. With on-site parking and barrier-free access, the facility is designed to be easily accessible to all.
