Located in Kamimaki, Ina City, Nagano Prefecture, Arai Otolaryngology Clinic is a community-based clinic specializing in ear, nose, and throat care. Staffed by a doctor and nurses born and raised in the Ina Valley, the clinic has been supporting the health of local residents for many years. The scope of treatment covers general otorhinolaryngology and head and neck surgery, including ear, nose, mouth, throat (pharynx and larynx), neck, and salivary glands. The clinic handles a wide range of conditions such as vertigo, headaches, nasal allergies including hay fever, facial nerve palsy, sleep apnea, and influenza. A key feature of the clinic is its day surgery program using the latest carbon dioxide lasers and radiofrequency surgical devices. For nasal allergies, surgical approaches are available in addition to medication therapy, and endoscopic surgery is performed for sinusitis. Procedures such as tympanostomy tube placement for otitis media with effusion and minor nose and oral surgeries are performed on an outpatient basis whenever possible, with a referral system to trusted hospitals for cases requiring inpatient care. The clinic has a parking lot and is barrier-free, ensuring convenient access. Consultation hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday in both morning and afternoon sessions, with Wednesday and Saturday mornings only. The clinic is closed on Sundays, holidays, and during the New Year and Obon periods.
